Here he is, ladies and gentleman! the pictures you’ve all been waiting for.
i would like to introduce to you my new friend, Ralph!
the above is him from the front…ish… (he’s a 1987 Nissan Maxima)
this is him from the back seat:
and this is the special license plate i got for him:
and as you can see by the rust spots on the back end, he is definitely not a native of AZ. on the contrary, he came from Colorado. but i love him.
he may live for 5 years, he may live for only 5 days. only the Lord knows. but i am thrilled to have him. what an answer to prayer!
praise God this excitement was able to carry me through 2 and 1/2 hours at the DMV on saturday morning. yes, 2 and 1/2 hours. and now i have the official title and registration in my name, a renewed driver’s license – b/c mine had a rather outdated picture (even though it was a great conversation piece – “you had BANGS?!”) and it still said “under 21” in big red letters, which is no longer true.
AND there was a girl scout troup selling cookies outside the DMV – so as i skipped out of the building, i also came away with 2 boxes of Samoas and 1 box of thin mints. Mmmmm…. life is good.
so yes, while the DMV was a lengthy endeavor, i am thrilled to officially have my own car, a special license plate and a stinkin’ good driver’s license picture (if i may say so myself)!
and now all i have to do is call on the insurance tomorrow! oh, and get the windows tinted… and the oil changed… and put some air in the tires… and have a CD player put in… and vacuum it… lol oh the joys and thrills of my own car!!!! the excitement cannot be contained.
