history of the honeymoon?

so i got this in one of those email forwards with random facts:

It was the accepted
practice in Babylon
4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride’s father would supply his
son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer and because their calendar
was lunar based, this period was called the honey month, which we know today as the
honeymoon.

hmmm.  not sure if it’s true or not, but it’s interesting, no?

and for those of you who have asked, i have no idea where we are going on our honeymoon.  zach knows.  but that’s it!  the whole thing is going to be a surprise for me!  (don’t worry, i do know how to pack, but that parameter still didn’t give anything away)

39 days to go… less than 6 weeks!
