my mother’s daughter

I don’t think a week goes by that I don’t do something and then stop and think to myself “oh my gosh, I am my mother!” Especially in this season of spending so much time taking care of my home, I’ve realized that I do a lot of things the same way that my mom did/does.

We also share similar loves. Like Fall wonderfulness. And all things mini. Today I felt very much like my mom as I made mini pumpkin loaves for some of my tenants and packaged them in brown paper bags with simple ribbon and a stamped card. It’s SO my mom and now, so me.

While making pumpkin pies for tomorrow, I decorated the edges with leaf cut outs – thanks to the cutter that my mom gave me! Fall pies should always have Fall accents. Duh.

Mom, thanks for imparting to me your love of little things, Fall leaves and cute packaging. I thought of you a lot today!
